Our Business

Supply Network Supplying Fisheries Resources Globally

Supplying a wide variety of fisheries products via our access to points overseas

Japan is one of the largest consumers of fisheries products in the world today and therefore in many cases the domestic catch cannot satisfy demand.
Today the fisheries resources have evolved into a truly global commodity that involves international supply chains.
Suiken leverages its wealth of information on the fisheries industry to procure safe and secure fisheries products from around the world and, in turn, deliver the most optimal seafood products that satisfy customer needs in an expedited manner.

Ability to procure a truly wide range of fisheries resources

Suiken maintains close relationships with producers in Japan and overseas and has established a solid network for obtaining information. This has enabled us to become one of Japan’s largest procurers of horse mackerel, Atlantic mackerel and Pacific saury, and other popular fish species in the Japan market.
Our various supply chain routes also enable us to deliver this seafood in a stable manner. We are able to coordinate every aspect of the supply chain, from the catch to processing and distribution.

We have offices at some of Kyushu’s most important fishing ports, including the Port of Nagasaki, which faces the East China Sea, and the Port of Matsuura. We procure fisheries resources directly from these ports thanks to our rigorous and uncompromising inspection system in place on the ground. We have also established a network that includes fishing ports in other parts of Japan to which we dispatch staff directly. This enables us to continually supply the best fisheries products in terms of both quality and price thanks to the discerning eyes of our highly adept professional buyers.

As one of the world's largest consumers of seafood, Japan also stands as one of the world's largest importers of seafood. However, with fisheries demand growing in the EU and East Asia, going forward the market for high quality, made-in-Japan seafood exports is expected to rise. Suiken is committed to actively exporting high quality Japanese made seafood to South Korea, China and other parts of the world.
